Founded in 2022, the practice was established as a step of faith and a commitment to building a mission-driven organization that supports children with communication challenges while partnering with educators and community programs.
Our Mission
Vocal Connections Speech Services operates under the mission, “Connecting Voices One Sound at a Time". We are dedicated to helping children communicate clearly and confidently. Our goal is to create supportive therapy experiences that empower every voice.
Meet the Founder
Arpel Jones, M.S., CCC-SLP
Founder & Clinical Director
Vocal Connections Speech Services, LLC
Arpel Jones is a Speech-Language Pathologist and the Founder and Clinical Director of Vocal Connections Speech Services, LLC, a Birmingham-based practice focused on expanding access to speech and language services for children and families across Alabama.

Through her work, Arpel collaborates with schools, Early Intervention programs, and Head Start centers to support children whose communication needs impact learning, participation, and social development. Her experience across early childhood and school-based systems provides valuable insight into service delivery challenges, workforce needs, and opportunities to strengthen coordination across programs serving students with disabilities.

Arpel is passionate about improving access to communication services, supporting educators and families, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen systems serving children with disabilities throughout Alabama.
Early in my son’s toddler age, he would not speak. As a mother that is so scary because you don’t know why. With endless research, we located Arpel and she opened up a closed space in my son and he has excelled tremendously. Not only is my son talking, he is reading independently and is the top learner in his class. Arpel’s method of speech therapy allowed my son to feel comfortable and confident. Im so grateful to see his progress and this wouldn’t have been possible without his amazing pathologist.
